About the Company

SimplyEJ is a woman-owned and run company, founded on the principles of passion, authenticity, and integrity.

We envision a world where people can live free from exploitation, violence and abuse.  We realize there’s a lot of work to be done before we get to that point.

Most importantly, our team is made up of REAL people who walk a wide variety of paths. Yes our expertise is mostly in the realm of mental health, but that’s not the only area that sets our hearts on fire!  We love and are passionate about a wide variety of topics: our families, our communities, our pets, our hobbies… and even new products that make life a little easier.

Our mission is to help our visitors discover their voice, their truth and their purpose.

About The Sassy Advocate™

The Sassy Advocate™  is Simply EJ’s  signature project focussed on bringing awareness to topics that don’t get discussed much over the dinner table or at cocktail parties– specifically domestic violence and sexual assault, and more generally to topics of mental health and human dignity.

More importantly it’s about learning that the consequences of not having these conversations have serious consequences for all of us. And that it’s possible to get over ourselves and our social comforts enough to have these conversations.

The Sassy Advocate™ provides an overview of the topics of domestic violence and sexual assault along with a variety of links to resources to help survivors and their support networks stay informed and empowered.

Let’s get Philosophical

Here are some of the overarching philosophies, values and beliefs we hold.Girl in grass with laptop

You are the expert on you. Regardless of what degrees and trainings our team brings to the table, you (our readers) have been living with yourself everyday for your entire life.  It’s great to learn and explore new ideas– and we will suggest a ton of them.  But at the end of the day, you need to throw your voice into the mix.

Listen to your Intuition. This is something we do, and we encourage our readers to do as well.  The heart-based business model followed by SimplyEJ is definitely different than the contemporary status quo.  If something doesn’t feel in alignment with our values– we’re going to trust that.  If something doesn’t seem to “make sense” but our intuition says it’s worth exploring– we’re going to trust that too.

Never create a product or service “just for the money.” The greatest profits (financial, spiritual, emotional) arise from where our deepest passions and our readers’ deepest needs are met. Every program or product we create is because we fully believe in it, it sounds like fun and we know it will make a huge difference in our readers’ lives.

Authenticity is our marketing strategy.  EJ avoided diving into the entrepreneurial world for a long time because she thought that marketing was a dirty word.  Turns out, it doesn’t have to be.  We strive to be a “What you see is what you get” type deal. We are real people and we care deeply about the well-being and experience of our clients and larger audience.

Giving back is important.  Through our Simply Inspired™ initiative, a percentage of each for profit speaking engagement or product is tied to a non-profit partner supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and women’s empowerment.  Our non-profit partners are chosen specifically because they continue to inspire us to keep fighting for justice and truth in the world.  Social change is in the very fiber of what we do.
